Automatic Scripting Vs JMeter tests
Hi there,
I’m currently evaluating load testing vendors for a client. I’m very close to recommending JMeter. My concern was getting the distributed load testing environment set up quickly. Your company seems like a viable option.
I’m a bit confused about the Automatic Scripting and JMeter services you offer though. My experience with load testing is there is no out-of-the-box solution that auto scripting seems to offer. My thoughts are that scripts are very application/business specific and need to be developed per system usage. What type of requests does your auto scripting service make to simulate load?
Also, does your company offer any support services for Jmeter scripting?
Thank you.
You should be looking at the JMeter tests.
The automatic Scripting generates a JMeter script that sequentially calls a list of URLs. No authentication and no POST requests. However, the automatic scenarios are built according to best practices and can save you a lot of script development time assuming a URL based scripting is sufficient.
Obviously for a more complicated business processes you should be looking at the JMeter functionality and upload your script. BlazeMeter is an out-of-the-box solution for JMeter distributed environment. Not only it is seamless, it solves many JMeter issues and allows you to focus on your script and test results and not on the infrastructure and configuration.
We do provide support for JMeter scripting. This support includes:
1. Creating scripts from scratch
2. Debugging your propriety scripts and recommending a best practice approach.
3. Test results analysis and recommendations
